I have an idea that I have kind of modified for the deer in my area, on another forum, some guy has came up with an apple cooker, what it is is just a large can with two peices of a coat hanger running through teh bottom about 1 1/2" off the bottom, what that does is create a rack for another can to sit on(smaller) that would have apple juice and a chopped up apple in it, then 2-3 unscented tea lights would go under neath to cook the mixture.

however here in Northwestern ontario, we don't have deer that are accustomed to apples, so what my plan is, is to put some doe urine in the small can and do the exact same thing, im thinking after the urine boils, it will throw scent down wind of me, and hopefully right up to a bucks nose....

my question is, do you think when it boils, the urine will dissapate and throw lots of scent off?

will it work?

I think that soaking a rag in the doe urine and hanging it about 15ft high in a tree might be better.

Ive boiled honey/corn syrup for bears but never urine.....but if you are up for an experiment, this would be it.

cooker

I think by boiling the mix it will burn it and change the scent because a doe does not get hot enough to burn her own urine. It might work but there is a lot of doe scent that you can buy in a bottle and no flame required. 8)

I too would hang a scent bomb in a tree about as high as you can hang it

burning piss is $&*@'n gross man

might work but,

I was watching one of those SAS shows once and a guy taped 2 pop bottles together then burried one in in in the ground and left the other with piss in the sun. Pure water evaporated out of the piss and condensed into the burried pop bottle resulting in pure drinking water  . Probably what would happen in your case is all the water would evaporate and the "extras" would remain.

Another option you have is to use oil of anise (Licorice), I remember some old time attracter sents that used pepermint oil. The oil of anise may not be real food but it should attract them.

There was talk on another forum the tinks #69 has a good shot of anise oil in it, but that is just hearsay

im a believer in,if you think it will work give it a try :D .you have nothing to loose..but i would suggest let it simmer not boil...let us know how it works for ya
