Who here would own a $50,000 rifle?

Would you buy a $50,000 rifle?

I'm not sure.

Perhaps someone could lend me one and I could try it out for as few months and see if I could adjust.........:D

As a mechanic, my tool box is full of Snap-On. Why? Because there IS a difference. Many people can't understand why I pay so much for 'fancy' tools, but I have to depend on them to bring home the bacon. I got tired of breaking the crappy knock off tools and having to replace them...so now I buy the best.

The same applies to rifles, sort of. I buy the best I can afford. And I expect that piece of metal to perform according to its purchase price. Had I the coin to do so, I would buy a $50K rifle...but it better be able to live up to its price tag. Exotic wood and an engraved name are not going to cut it.

I wouldn't as I don't see how any gun that price can be more effective than any other one costing a fraction as much.

I'll take the 50 guns costing $1000 option.

A $50,000 rifle buys you $40 000 worth of name brand and the right to prance around saying I own a XYZ brand of rifle. The other $10,000 ( or less) actually pays for the gun.

I would if I could and so would everyone else on this site, regardless of what they say right here and now....

Nope. And I voted in category #3.... ;)

NAA.

if i had the spare change to do sumtin like that my dream would be a double rifle chambered in 340 bee, with very marbled wood. all the metal engraved with erotic lesbian scene with it all finished with lazerd engraving into the wood of them being pulled into the abyss of hell by skulls or demons ...sumtin like an HnH or a purdy ,,,maybe perazzii

I could, and want to say that I would. Deep down though, I don't think I could make myself do it. Is that wishy washy enough? If it did happen, it would be a high end double rifle.

I would rather have one rifle that was as close to perfect as possible, than 50 rifles that I was unimpressed with (I'm a rather picky person). If I could afford it, and it cost me $50,000 dollers to achieve it, I would spend it. Some of the best doubles are very close to that ammout in their basic form.

If money was no object, and I felt that it was worth it, I would.

Good wood is nice to look at, but I wouldn't use it in this $50 000 hunting rifle, either.

I voted in category 3 as well , and no , i would never waste that kind of $ on firearm, nothing is worth that much in my eyes unless i it is solid titanium and jewel encrusted , and even then , why have it if you would never shoot it ? If someone gave me one , i 'd take it , sell it , and buy 50 1000$ rifles i'd not be scared to shoot and enjoy:cool:
