Who hunts with a 44 mag???

I'm going to give the brass break action singles from Henry a go in .44 Mag and .45/70... would love to find a thinly jacketed .429"-.430" SP for use in the .44 single, designed to expand at lower velocity, akin to the 350 SP made by Hornady for the .45/70.

With the .429 -.430 jacketed bullets for the 44, is the jacket thickness not a standard .008-.010 thickness??
That seems to be all I've ever come across.

You focused on the word "jacketed," my emphasis was on "Spitzer." There are many jacketed options, mostly FP's & HP"s... but I would like to take advantage of a true spitzer shape in the single shot. I have plenty of cast/flat meplat and also the flex-tip FTX's for both .44 and .45/70, but for .45/70, I also have true Spitzer's available.

Not yet. I acquired a Handi-Rifle in .44Magnum too late for 2016 season. Getting it out for whitetail in 2017 will be a priority.
