A Mohawk 600 in 222 rem. I haven't even hit the with range yet. How do they shoot? It seems to have a medium contour barrel maybe?

They are bad guns, you should send it to me, I will take care of it for you.......:)

If not then I will tell you that they are great little rifles, and I to will one day own one.

The answer - deaf people!

Last time at the range, a friend had a newly acquired Mohawk in .243. It was LOUD !!! The muzzle blast was horrendous.

My wife's R700 .243 with 24" barrel and her R700 in 6mm are much easier on the ear bones.

I can only imagine what one in .350 Rem mag would sound like .....

I have one in 308 made in 1973.its an awsum bush gun and shoots sub 1" with 150gr bullets.it does have a bit of muzzle blast but its still a fun rifle to shoot.

I've hunted with mine, in .308, for twenty years. Taken more big game with it than with all my other centerfires combined, including some big moose. And yes, hansol is right, the very first time I saw a P14, I knew where Remmy stole the design for that dogleg bolt handle.

Great little rifles, I'd own more if they were more common and a bit less expensive!
