who imports Criterion barrls for M1 Garands

Hirsch Precision actually stocks many barrels, including Criterion, Krieger, Bartlein, and Pac Nor.

It is nice not have to pay now, and then wait 6-8 months or more.

You'll be waiting for a good smithy to install a barrel anyway. Busy guys. Even moreso this time of year.

Criterion barrels come short chambered and must be finish reamed.
I spoke to Nick at Vulcan on Thursday and he has some in stock for $375.00
He also has some original Springfield barrels from the 50's in various conditions which wouldn't require finish reaming but would require checking the headspace.

He can also buy a pull through reamer from Pacific Tool And Gauge or Clymer and do it himself If he has a barrel vise and action wrench.
I ordered my PTG reamer with drive rod and bushing on Thursday and it already left Oregon.
I should have it by next Friday.
He can get the 1-3/4" combination wrench from princess auto to use as an action wrench and he can make his own barrel vise with a piece of hardwood too.

Does the combo wrench have enough surface area for good purchase? I have read that a standard wrench, or a crescent wrench, won't have enough of a solid purchase and was likely to slip/move, scratching up the receiver real good

If you order a Fulton barrel made by Criterion from Brownells, they will export it for $279.99 USD + shipping. You just have to do the DSP-83 and IIC paperwork yourself. Not hard, just a 2-3 week process. They only have 30.06 though.
