So... my 10/22CRR is bought and paid for and in the mail - I can hardly wait!!!

Anyway, I've already got my accessories (auto bolt release - extended mag release - Volq Extractor - Buffer Bolt), now I need mags!!

Who in Canada is a good place to order some good quality 50+ rnd mags from?
or, should I just go with BC Steel lip mags?

Thanks

why would you want a 50 rounder? I have never had luck with the double stack 50 rounders.. stay with a metal feed lips, the butler creek..( I think)
I have never tried one of he belt feed tear drop ones, not sure if they are available around or not.. I know of people who have them but they purchased them 20 years ago

P&D has the 50 round teardrop mags. $60, if I remember correctly. They can be a bit of a pain in the ass, but they do hold 50 rounds!

the ones I got form TSE a year or 2 ago were the belt feed ones. mine worked perfectly :D when I used it last

anyone know of any 100rd ones? I know there was some 100rd drum mags (i don't rember the manufacturer) but they apparently are complete garbage and don't feed and are neer imposible to even load.

Kodiak1 - where'd you find the steel lip mag (and was it a 25 rnd)? Apparently ("I heard") production has stopped on those 'temporarily' due to Bushnell buying out Butler Creek... haven't been able to find anybody with them in stock in my area (Ottawa). I just asked at LeBaron's yesterday and was told they don't have them...

Thanks -
Gray

Sports action has one or two i think and stittsville had a bunch last time i was there

I have one of those but I have only tried it in my R22, which of course it didnt like but then again it only really likes the BC steel lips mags.

I'll let you know how well it runs in my 10/22 when I get the chance to try it.

After trying the MWG 50, I would definitely say this is one to avoid. I still have some modification ideas but I shouldn't need to put that much work in to a mag to get it to function.

SIR mailorder has 50 round ramlime round mags. My gunsmith said they use regular plastic at the feed lips and thats why they wear out and don't feed properly, unlike the butler creek 25 round mags which use either metal or a hardened plastic feed lips.
I am going to order a 50 rounder for my freind to try anyway, cause they are only 36.99. SIR is out of Winnipeg, and not a bad web site. http://www.sirmailorder.ca
