Who in ON is wating for a transfer? how long?

So you're still safe in the west, may even be faster than a guy living down the road from the dealer :D

That is what I thought, too' But, on April 7th, I ordered a couple of restricteds from a dealer in Ontario. Called them up on the 18th, and was told that they are still waiting for the transfers to go through??? This does not seem normal from what I have been hearing. I know personally that BC dealer to me takes a 5 days, including a weekend. Something is fishy me thinks.

I'm waiting 3 wks now for a Model 14 to go thru and 1 wk to date on a M&P. They said on the phone it COULD be 4-6 wks due to a backlog. Hmm, I thought they used computers & new-fangled stuff. How long does it take. They're aren't THAT many guns changing hands are there?

I’m still waiting on 2 transfers... its so frustrating. One was started March 17th, the other March 19th.. so both are over 5 weeks now. Note: these are not my first restricted transfers.

I am 20229XX, the nice lady Katharine tells me shes still working some 199 and 201's..... greatttttt. Shes got a great big stack that shes trying to work through...

Mine is 2015###...

I'm trying to think of a lie I can tell to get a transfer approved...Anyone knows any that work? :D

Whatever you do, don't say your in the "Make A Wish Foundation" and this is your last wish before you go to that great big Range in the sky!! Or else you'll wreck my best laid plan!!!

&*#@ !!!

Questar is located in Ontario. That means if they receive my stuff in June, I certainly won't see it until August. What a bunch of sh*t.

I've got 1992###, it's been four or five weeks, and 2032### that was just started a couple days ago. I've got another coming from Gunnar, but I don't have the reference #, so who knows how long it'll be.

I leave to go on course in the next three weeks, and I don't think I'll be seeing any of these guns before I head out. Looks like I'll pick up all three from the mail room come September.

You and me both.

Here in Alberta locally 2 days for restricted with TTP and 3 days for Prohibited with TTP for pick up. Out of Province any where Canada the same but takes longer because of shipping, because the seller has to get his TTP in order to ship it. I know in Ontario and Quebec its a nightmare because of all the Transfers downthere they say there shortstaff and its there CFO"s its not Miramichi as soon as you complete the Transfer they send it off to your Province CFO for final approval. I've waiting for a gun that i bought out of Quebec thats been taking 8 weeks now because the gun i bought doesn't jive with the Central Restristry and the Owner been getting dicked around ever since hes been trying to get it straightned out probly had to get the gun reverified and his Province is taking there sweet ass time helping him out. Then probly will be another nightmare getting it Transfered. And if you buy from a dealer its quicker then buying private you don't need to phone the CFO the Dealer does it all soon as you are approved they Ship the gun off to you thats it done deal.

Did you do anything?

Well I called the place where I bought the firearm from (Epps); but they told me their hands were tied too and that nothing would speed the process along. Basically that it was in the hands of the CFO. Oh and to correct my earlier post it was not 2 weeks that I had been waiting-only 9 days. But you know what its like when you're waiting:runaway:
Hope things speed up for you guys.
Steve
