Who is bringing in the Mapul Hunter X22 and when?

Thanks for the replies. Holy crap is that expensive for what is basically a bolt action 10/22. And I have to ask, Why would you want a bolt action 10/22?

Well its straight pull, so not quite as slow as bolt action cycling. The benefit I would see to it would likely be more consistent groups, as well as having what is likely an action with the largest selection of aftermarket stocks. Plus its kind of neat I'm not going to lie haha.

Sorry to the OP for the hijack.
Why do you both assume is it more accurate than a 10/22? One of my 10/22's just shot a few like this @52yds using Federal Champion 40gr SV's on a breezy day.

Well its a bolt, they are inherently more consistent shot to shot. Thats not to say that you could not get a 10/22 to be just as accurate or more accurate that the summit action, however it would likely take a lot more time, money and work to get the same results achievable with a straight pull bolt action with minimal work. I don't have experience with the bolt, however when you compare it to its distance cousins such as biathlon rifles that use an action of a similar nature and the groups achievable with those, one would be inclined to believe that the summit can be capable of some very nice groups.

Or for all I know it could be a piece of overpriced crap, I`m heading over to rimfire central to see what kind of groups guys are getting with them and if they are actually worth the dollars they demand.

As for the op its just a matter of monitoring this site and soon enough a dealer will likely post up a pre sale for them where you can secure one for yourself. Also if you get one of the first ones you are obligated to post pictures and a review here haha.
