Who is buying a Type81?

Just an opinion snowflake. The M14 7.62x39 has very good irons and optics can be mounted easily. People are already wanting to mount "optics" on the T81 without even shooting them lol. Probably a sign this isn't the right rifle for you if the first requirement is "how do I put a scope on it?"

There you go again, at least you're predictable. Couldn't find a modified M14 anywhere near $700. Take a pill and I'll check with my pharmacist for a topical for thread lice.

I see your search ability is useless.
Marstar (can't recommend buying from them) has them for $725
Somebody else had them too for $700....Tenda maybe? North Pro? I dunno, get a lot of sales emails...try looking harder next time son!

all my searches for canadian retailers came up with 789.95 for modified and that was what you were referring to. I believe there were three. You try your best to bait into a fight but just look like a idiot in the process. Seriously man you talk about these guns not being the right rifle for some based on optics (even though the Chinese put rails and optics on them) I'm thinking if you can't see and appreciate the fun of buying and subsequent discussions of modifications of said purchase then I'm thinking much about this site isn't for you. Just move on, I'm quite sure I saw a dog kicking site somewhere that would likely be more suitable and embracing of your sunny disposition. ROTFL

Mike, I don't think anyone wants to put a 10x scope on them, but I'm starting to feel my age and a red dot optic would be a nice touch.

I've had a few m305's and every one I had needed lots of help to run right. Great rifle's, but they were almost partially assembled "kits" in my experience.

I think you would be surprised how large an optic is required by the new gen shooter just to hit paper at 25 & 50m lol.
I dunno, I see the cartridge itself as the limitation...and yes, the T81 irons are pretty lousy for any real accurate shooting, between the cartridge and the sights you would be limited to 100m to smack a deer ethically IMHO.
All the M14 fixes are pretty easy... and so far it looks like the 7.62x39 ones even have decent headspace.
I need to see some real reviews of these guns by some knowledgeable members (like you, glad you are getting one) before I can consider jumping on the bandwagon. I've seen too much Chinese junk over the last 20 years to buy anything on blind faith from there. I want to be hopeful, but disappointment seems inevitable lol.

Uhh pretty sure I told you where to find them for $725 already. Also I'm positive there was one cheaper then that too...it will come to me eventually.
I'm into beating dead horses though then kicking dogs. Your mother would appreciate that I'm sure.

Holy hell, he is talking a out modded M14 x39 rifle (Ala scope mount etc...) I've never seen those come stock out of the factory with it.

Also what you claim is a limited cal I've have done and seen many a time not just in person but done to death on youtube vids showing itd TRUE capabilities

Where I hunt, 100m would be a very long shot. Bordering on impossible due to line of sight limitations. More often or not I use a 30-30, and I would use x39 anywhere I would use a 30-30 without fear :)

I don't need optics really, I shoot fine with irons, but a low power optic just makes everything easier as my eyes age.

This is not the type of rifle you put optics on. I actually rolled my eyes a little that there is an option for a quadrail but....to each their own I guess. I wonder how long untill there is an M4 stock adapter?....

I feel the same way however here are a few photos of the rifle with rails and optics. The first looks like shyte imo and is apprently in was/is? in use by the Chinese People's Armed Police Force (CAPF), would appear looks are secondary to some . The last three are from a Chinese blog of the Chinese Type 81 Evolved Battle Rifle CS/RL14. Not sure who or what that is for but it looks remarkably non garish but again apparently that is secondary to some.

I would totally consider dressing my type 81 up like a cs/lr14...however I will more than likely leave it stock, but an actual cs/lr14 would be sweet.

ok I am cancelling my order and I will wait for the cslr14 thing which has an actual receiver top rail. oh wait a new frt is needed for this one which means another 5 years
