Who is buying a Type81?

Sure. But the picture you commented on isn't the production run. It's an old photo of the lab sample. The restricted sample and not the color we are getting.

Did you mean don't listen to Dilligaf or don't listen to me?? Dilligaf indicated "Heres a picture at the factory when they inspected " you're saying that's not the case but is an old lab sample photo.

Dilligaf is pulling your leg. The pic is the lab sample. The wood is not the same as what we are getting for color.

It's an old pic.

Ok thanks. Dilligaf, wtf, you need to provide more context, I normally pick up on this stuff but went over my head. Bastard. lol.

To be fair he posted a ton of "poking the hornets nest" gifs.

Yes he did but judging by any seemingly benign post in this thread the hornets get rattled. Thought the change in color was his poking the nest, but the change in color is something I welcomed. Perspective is everything and it all makes sense now.

Honest question.... aren't these just basically a tacticool sks?

SKS is a tilting bolt lockup, fixed mag, charger loaded short stroke gas system.

Type 81 is a rotating bolt, interchangeable magazine short stroke adjustable gas system.

I guess you could take a Yugo 56/66 sks, dress it up in an aftermarket folding stock with tapco mags and you would have a somewhat compromised facsimile with akward duckbill mags.

I suspect you'd be in it software the same money or more. Rotating bolts are thought to be a little more accurate.

Heres a picture at the factory when they inspected :nest: :nest: :nest: :eek::eek:

And they are still worth 199 after all that junk is installed...lol...

Totally agree lol. I walked through Can-tire a while back and saw the row of them and thought... I could afford one of those right now... but nawwwww.

I don't actually like VZ's either, I could have bought one recently for the family price but I told him to sell it elsewhere. That safety is just on the wrong side and too awkward for me. The military folder didn't help either. Neither did the barrel that looks about 6 inches too long. Because it is.

I intend on jumping on this Type 81 bandwagon a paycheck or two from now. Even though I figure we probably won't actually have them until like January for no reason other than pure speculation.
