Who is buying a Type81?

Yeah I know, Im just saying that even the ones at 150$ on ebay are fakes. Ive only seen 1 real one and it sold for crazy money.

Ill stick the to fakes ones, it will go well with the fake SKS81's we are getting, would've been nice to see TI actually take a few minutes to see if the bayos fit. lol... But all we got is a picture of boxes on pallets

Can you pls show the difference between real ones and fake ones? I can't tell from googling and it seems odd that there would be any differently, in China's centrally planned economy, things like this are usually made in the same factory.

It definitely isn't easy to distinguish on google. From my research and military picture examinations/comparisons a genuine T81 bayonet has a stainless blade, the handle looks to be bakelite with a fake wood design, the sheath has a rubberized texture (not a hard plastic with sheen to it like the ones on ebay), the frog is leather (not vinyl with a sheen to it like most on ebay), the muzzle ring and metal base of the knife is blued, not painted black like the $150 ones on ebay right now. I've never seen an example with markings other than the Norinco star on the clasp, which all these "knockoffs" do bare. Genuine bayos also appear to have the screws peened near the base. That is my take on it if anyone can provide any more detail please do.

Usually a fitting issue with knock off Chinese bayos, as in they don't fit without some modifications, or they are sloppy loose.
Won't know until the rifles get here to see if or how they fit...

It appears to just sit loosely over the end of the barrel, so hopefully the longer barrel won't put the ring between the ribs on the barrel cover/launcher thingy.

Good point, i dont think there is that many t81 exported out of China so there wouldnt be a big demand for fakes world wide besides there are a 100 countries they can't ship to. It wouldnt be economical to set up a separate line.

These could be latest version made on the same machinery for export so would that be considered fakes?

There are 1000's of commercial/export knife factories in China that could make these... it's a knife.
It's probably made for some airsoft line over there.
