Who is buying a Type81?

There are 1000's of commercial/export knife factories in China that could make these... it's a knife.
It's probably made for some airsoft line over there.

You must think the PLA will allow unauthorize manufacturing of their products, even if they did award a small contract , who do you think would best be manufacturing them? It would be the companies that are still making the bayo for the PLA (so no new tooling required).

Maybe that explain why the quality isn't as bad as one would expect from a fake.

TI should bring some of these deadly mean #####es in after the T81's get here...

You think the PLA approved all the Chinese Airsoft clones of their firearms for export too? Lol
Again, it's a KNIFE... what special tooling do you think is required to make a knife?
It's steel, so that's a good thing at least. When Claven gets his he can tell us if it's cast/forged/stamped/hardened etc since he knows all that ####...but Stainless is not usually the material of choice for most bayo's, so that is probably a good sign it's not the "real deal".
Either way, not like you are going to use it in any way other then for display... odds are it's not going to break in your house, which is good.
I wonder who makes all the cheap Chinese crap for China's consumption.... probably Pakistan?

Also the more I look at it, the more it looks like AK bayos might fit, pretty similar attachments. Fingers crossed...

China is the source of every unauthorized, cheap repro known to man....

I don't disagree with JV but I'm not talking about airsoft and accessories. Pla don't care that but when it comes to their propreitary (their design which include the bayo) then yes, i truly believe others will need authorization.

Now , how difficult would it be for them to go to the unauthorized factory and put a stop to it, no stop work order needed, lol.

The real ones look to be hard chrome plated as well, like all commie bayos, another give away the Ebay ones are different and not original.

Yup, that's pretty obvious there are differences but the ebay version was not made for the Pla, they uses original version.

As I said before, ebay version was made for export, for the t81 rifles exported and sold to civilians. Possibly Europe. No original but not fake either.

I would be very surprise if any of the manufacturers in china that would dare make unauthorized proprietary products of the Pla.

Well.....prove it. Stories and speculation are nice and all that for discussion, but prove these are made at the same shops as the originals like you claim, and prove these are military grade made for export like you are claiming now.
Otherwise they are just cheap fleabay copies...

What type of ammo is everyone planning to use with their Type 81s?

Myself I plan to shoot non corrosive through mine until I'm comfortable with cleaning it, then I'll buy a crate of Soviet surplus x39 for it

I have a crate of non corrosive that I ordered a while back from CanAm. That'll probably be exclusively what I run through mine.

im going to use Barnaul for my indoor range, and Norinco non-corr for all others. i would only use corrosive in a beat-up truck gun or something rusty
