Who is shooting Swede rolling block 12.7mm?

So I have been considering a 12.7 mm Swede rolling block for some fun shooting and maybe a bit of hunting. I have looked for a nice used 1874 sharps .50-70 from C. Sharps or Shiloh for some time with no luck so thought that I would entertain myself with one of these for a bit.

I see that brass, dies, etc are available from Buffalo Arms and it is a very similar round to the .50-70. Several people have reported very good accuracy with these Swede rollers. Seems like most every arm the Swedes used was well above average.

If you have any personal experience with one I would like to hear of it. I'm especially interesed in your loads (black powder only), including powder grade, amount, bullet weight and diameter, etc.

My use would be as a short range deer/black bear hunting rifle and informal fun shooting out to 300 yards or so.

I have a nice one but the lands measure .508 instead of .510, so to shoot I have to cast a pure lead bullet and size and lube it 0.512, then resize the shank 0.500, so I'm making a heeled bullet. It shoots pretty good and no one else seems to have the same problem.

You will likely have to replace the trigger spring with a home made one to get trigger pull weight down. Luckily they are easy to make and it's simple to do.
