Okay. Thanks for that.I have regular Browning choke system. I think this medallion was a 2014 shot show special with removable chokes.
I just shoot regular Winchester or Remington 7.5 shells

I always prefer to shoot them flying. Normally use 7/8oz 20ga and never had any damage to the meat using 7.5 or 6 shot. How are you guys finding meat damage with your shot. I’ve shot a handful of pheasants now at close range with #8 lead and almost no meat damage. I think I found one pellet on the surface of one breast that I can think of.
I have #5 in my other barrel, but I could see myself moving to #6 for pheasant.
I’ve only shot a few ruffies and they were starionary on a branch and I took their heads off. I usually only take a few ruffies at a time when I go out and I try not to shoot them flying because of the damage.
Sounds like you are doing okay with your 28 gauge hunting this season.what are you using for 28 gauge 3 inch pheasant and duck ammunition?Congrats 28 that has been a while.I dumped another pheasant yesterday with my 28 those 3" are working just fine.Walked 9 k and only have a slight limp. WORST part I shot the rooster 200 m from my truck if I went the other way would have jumped him .Am carrying some steel as well now as there are a few wood ducks showing in the slough I walk along might get lucky.
