Who is using PVRI brass and what are your thoughts??

I am in the middle of firing off some .375 H&H privi to harvest the brass...... It's high quality stuff...... Check out Xreload prices on brass for the .375...... Privi is premium stuff based on price.. Which doesn't always tell the whole story, but from what I see the brass looks great.....
 
I use it almost exclusively (only caliber I don't use PPU brass for is .303 British as mine is mainly supplied by hunters who shot one box a year of random ammo to verify where it is shooting). I like it very much.
 
I have some in .308 that I have loaded 6-8 times, haven't had to throw any out yet. No neck cracks, primer pockets are tight. i don't measure concentricity or neck thickness, but it seems OK.
 
I am the only one with a negative experience so far.... I picked up 100 pieces for my 9.3x62 Ruger No 1. The brass was very inconsistently but consistently 30-40/1000 inch longer than max trim length! Took a little more then I like. Lol. Then I found the case rims to be too thick to fit my RCBS shell holder and just fit (with quite a bit of effort) into a Redding shell holder I had (and yes, proper shellholders:). Anyway, held up nice after shooting but have not resized again. Hoping thing will be settle now with some of my brass being once fired. Bottom line, I should have paid double and bought Lapua;)
 
I'm working through match prepping 800 or so new 308win PRVI brass. My observations on my match rifle the shoulders on new brass needed to be bumped back 0.006"-0.007" (@1.627" new brass at datum line) to fit in my match Palma Chamber (1.6215"-1.622" fired brass at datum line) kinda like bumping back once fired brass from a chamber headspaced to a field gauge. Quality and feel (hardness) when neck turning is similar to Lapua in work-ability. Comes annealed from factory. Thickness is 0.015" average in my lot of brass. Primer pockets come very square and requires no primer pocket reaming I only encounter 1-2 pcs out of a 100 that any significant material is removed. If you're weight sorting there is a weight range difference within a 100pcs bag as much as 1-10gn difference. However I decided to skip weight sorting for my testing phase this time around. Flashholes come pretty burr free however I still touched it up very lightly with a chamfer using the 21st Century deburring tool.

Weight variability is more than Lapua within a 100pcs lot but thickness and IMO quality and workability is close to Lapua. My 2cents.

I have been using Prvi brass in several chamberings for awhile now and in general have had good results with it. I have had a few cracked necks in some 6.5X55 brass that were only fired once and some of the same cases cracked in the neck area while being reformed to 8X54. I annealed the whole bunch and eliminated that problem, but this has been my only issue with it so far.
I have had zero issues with any of the other cases I've worked with. I personally think that Prvi should receive a medal of some sort for providing shooters of milsurp rifles in what used to be considered oddball calibers, a source of reasonably priced, good quality brass. My opinion only, others may have different mileage.
 
I've been using their brass/ammo for over 25 years with good results. I especially like it for milsurps, it seems they load it hotter than North American ammo.
My only small issue was a recent batch of 22/250 brass.
The primer pockets are so tight I couldn't use my RCBS hand primer, I had to seat them with my press. But a little tight is better than too loose. :d

It is because of Jerry that I have been using this brass exclusively for my long range hunting rifle reloading. I bought new brass, annealed it (just a personal decision), fire formed it and have had excellent results.
 
I've been reloading with Prvi brass in several medium to large calibers for a few years now. It holds better than average north American brass and is lasting just as long as special order Norma brass.
 
Below are Prvi Partizan and Greek HXP .303 cases and both were fired in the same No.4 Enfield rifle. The Prvi cases have the thickest rims, the largest base diameter and have .010 thicker case walls in the base of the case. I would call these Prvi .303 cases "Military Grade" and in my opinion the best modern made .303 cases on the market today.
(they are made Ford Truck Tough) ;)

The case pictured below were factory loaded and fired once for this photo. As you can see the Prvi case did not expand outward in the base like the HXP case did showing how much thicker and stronger these cases are in the base.
