Post the correct information and you will know your answer. Look on the left side of the butt socket near the safety. You will find a Maker code number, (such as M47C) stamped there. If your serial number has a "C" in the middle of it, it is a Savage while "L" is a Long Branch.

Better still, pictures are best. Otherwise, it is a guessing game, unless the pertinent information is given for us to start with.

I believe at least Long Branch did. My 1942 No.4Mk1* has a six groove barrel but the fellow I got it from told me it was a post war replacement for the original Long Branch two groove, and he knew a lot.

Those that I know for a certainty include:
Longbranch
Savage
BSA
Maltby

Not sure if Fazakerley made 2-groove barrels, though certainly some of their receivers got 2-groove barrels when new, but they might have been contracted out (?) Most Faz tubes are 5 groove.

POF and RSAF Enfield never produced No.4's with 2-groove bbls that I know of.

This may be a bit OT but weren't some Springfield 03s fitted out with 2 grove barrels? If so who ever made them might have also produced for Enfield. I have a C & H, 30-06 that has a 2 grove barrel and when I inquired about it a person suggested it was a Springfield barrel. Any comments??? --- John303.

Close.

The Springfield 1903A3 was offered with a 2 groove bbl. The same machines also rifled barrels for Savage for use on Savage No.4MkI* rifles from 1943 onward. These same barrels were also sold post-war to Chile who used them to rebuild Modelo 1912 rifles into 7.62x51 carbines.

.
Actually Lee Enfield barrels were made with two, three, four, five, and six groove rifling.

I even have several button rifling SEVEN groove heads marked with with a C-Broad arrow, a Quebec Machine Shops name, and "Bren" on them, along with other numbers.
