Looking for a decent gas block assembly to mount on my M-4 that has a rail to bolt on a fold down front sight. Who sells these in Canada?

How easy are these to replace?

Thanks in advance.

Got the YHM 1 on mine and I got to say I really like it.

1 point guys he asked for a railed gas block - not a flip front sight gas block - to mount a folding sight.

To which I ask why...

Get a longer FF rail - use a low profile gas block, use a flip front on the rail -> more useful space.

My mistake. i must have mis-read. we ahve the armalite railed gas block in stock also. Price is $61.55. For more info on applications or to place an order, please call and speak with Wolfgang.

Well, one reason is that I am a cheap prick.:p Wouldn't the rail cost me quite a bit more?

Talk to me guys, still learning here. Maybe there is a better way to do this, but am not fully up to speed as to what my options are.

$209 for a Troy rail. Easy to install. Better then the YHM in my book.

Go the route Kevin suggested. If you can afford it, it is much better. I'd recommend a clamp on style LP gas block and a 9" or 10" rail system. I would look at the DD Gas block (More expensive) or if you are on a budget, the YHM (about $30 bucks) from Fabsports.

As far as putting it together goes, you would need to wrench you flash hider off, knock the pins out of your front sight, punch the gas tube pin out from the front sight and simply swap gas blocks. If you wanted to go further and install a FF rail like the Troy or YHM you would need a barrel wrench, action block and vise at a bare minimum. It's not hard at all, just need the right tools.

They rail will cost you more but you'll be getting more. Go that route.
