Who makes M14 clones?

Hey guys,

I know norinco makes one for around 400-450, but are there any other companies that offer this rifle at the sub 1000 price tag?

No. All sub 1K M14-type rifles are made in the PRC by Norinco/Polytech. Next level up in price is the Springfield Armoury M1A rifles.

Yep, I don't recall seeing anything else under a grand besides the Norinco/Polytech M305's.

Nobody makes an M-14 clone. Not even SA Inc or Norinco. The M-14 is select fire.
"...any other companies..." The rest of 'em are U.S. companies building target rifles and competing with SA Inc. None of 'em are even close to a grand. A net search will give you their sites.
The really daft thing is the current value of a real semi'd M-14. Evil as they are, they're under a grand. Sad thing it is too.

Daft you say, SA Inc. made quite a few select fire M1As, Smith Enterprise made quite a few select fire M14 receivers and Norinco made select fire M14s.

Ya, I wonder what ever became of the Italian M14 thing.
In the current M14 type , semi auto only marketplace you have the following:
Chinese m14s/m305
7.62mm firearms (not sure if these are importable)
Springfield armory inc
LRB Arms
Smith Enterprise

China is the only manufacturer offering a sub 1000.00 price tag (most if not all others 'start' at approx 2000.00
