I can't remember the name of the product but it was supposed to be like Duracoat only more durable and made in Canada. Does anyone have experience with it? I want to redo my AR but I'm worried I'll mess it up, is it really as easy as people claim?

you might be getting an e-mail from me once this years debts are a little closer to being paid off like round x-mas my huntin rifle needs a new finish
kinda likin the mate black and leaf green effect hmmmmmmm

I used it. Painted my custom rifle with a stainless barrel matte black. Turned out great. I had a friend glass bead blast it with a low pressure and then plugged the muzzle with a piece of wood dowel and carved out a piece of wood the shape of the bolt to fit in the receiver. I then sprayed it with HVLP spray gun. I did the floor plate and trigger guard as well. It went from a wussy looking shiny gun to a mean looking killing machine. I am going to do the stock in a camo pattern as soon as hunting season is over.

What do people use for stencils that is sticky enough to adhere to metal and soft enough to bend around corners etc?

Try frisket paper that is available at art shops.

The airbrush guys use this stuff extensively.

For my digital stencils, I use overhead projector film.Washable with laquer thinners and re-usable.

SKBY.

If I use this stuff can I get good results without buying a lot of fancy equipment (ie: airbrush gun)? And if not, is their someone who could do it for me? I'm in the Petawawa area.

We now have digital and multi-cam stencils available I put up a post in the dealer annnouncements for pricing. Our website will be updated with new pictures and prices. They are in stock and ready to ship. Our stencils can be reused and can withstand baking temperatures of up to 350 F. Here is a picture of my full auto demo G3 I was shooting last week. I will post a new pic soon of our new the multi-cam stencil once I get another good demo.
