Who makes the best ambi ar lowers out there?

I've only had experience with the B.A.D. A.S.S. ones. Fit and finish is awesome. They're nice and smooth and low profile levers don't get in the way.

KAC hands down, sorry no one beats it, I just ordered another, they are exactly how I would want them on any AR lower, pistol grip can be swapped and same with the Sopmod stock like any AR lower but the trigger and ambi-bolt release along with the ambi-magazine release are perfectly where you want them when in a real gun fight and it feels like they belong there too as well! I like the KAC trigger just a little better Gieselle but it is very close and depends on which Gieselle model I think as well.

Alpha Niner is referring to ambidextrous lowers rather than just an ambi bolt release assist.

I’ll start and suggest Mega Arms’s GTR-3H or 3S lowers.

Oh crud. I didn't catch that part. Too early in the AM. My bad.

How much are the KAC lowers, Leibermuster?

We manufacture a TRUE ambi lower. The ambi bolt release is made of tool steel that are not prone to breakage.
And are made in Canada to tighter tolerances than any on the market. Sold as a matched hand fitted upper and lower for those who want the ultimate in precision or as just a lower.
They employ many features not found on any other AR.

Where abouts can we get KAC lowers in Canada and how much are they running for usually?

ATR: how much are your ambi lowers going for?

Basic lower with no LPK but with the ambi bolt release installed as it is proprietary is $550.00. IF you have a LPK we would prefer to install it for you at no additional cost as there are some minor mods required to some of the springs, which are all captured in our lowers.
We also offer them with various options in LPKs.

Is there a production turn around time for an empty lower or do you have these in stock ready for installation on customer's lpk/trigger/mag release & upper?

Also, as far as it goes for custom engraving, I assume this has to be done prior to the final treatment / coating of the lower?

Thanks!

We try to keep some uppers and lowers in stock that are generic as far as serial numbers and have only the HK fire control markings in stock, but it seems just as fast as we can make them they sell. We have at this moment only 2 lowers left for immediate sale, they are generic serial numbered and shocker fire control markings.
We are nearing the end of another production run, so if something custom is desired NOW would be the time to get it happening as we won't likely be doing another production run for a few months.
Engraving can be done either before or after anodizing. It all depends on whether you want it to stand out in which case the engraving is done after ano or a more subdued look which then has to be done prior to ano.

I'm thinking a true ambi lower like the LWRC would go incredibly well with an Adcor BEAR upper, at least for a righty using the forward charging handle with the left and catching the bolt on the right. Both are definitely on the list.

The ones being discussed are true ambi. KAC, Hera and others. The ATR one has the bolt release but from the pictures the left side mag release doesn't have the cut out to protect the mag release like the others discussed.
