Purchased a bag of 500 today, not cheap at $207 tax in.

I thought they look like Hornadys, but at closer inspection, the Hornadys are shorter and measure .312 in diameter.
While the Campros are a little longer and measure .311 in diameter.

On the bag it says the are produced in Canada.

.303 bullets seem to be almost unobtainium in Canada these days. Is there a Canadian source for reasonably priced ones ?

...it depends what your understanding of reasonably priced is.

500 for $206.?? (tax in) is the best I could find, and they seem to be of excellent quality.

If you read my post correctly, I said "they seem to be".

After all, "beauty is as beauty does".

I loaded 130 rounds and will check them in the coming weeks.

What I can tell so far: From the 10 randomly chosen bullets, 8 were exactly 180 grains, while 2 came in at 179.9 grains.
That's pretty good in my books.

I bought a bag too locally. They seem as good as any other when I shot them group wise.

I usually buy speer hot core 180grn .311 from budget shooter supply. 34.00$ per 100. No cannelure but I dont crimp anyways.

$200 for 500 is about as good as it gets if you don't want to take apart a bunch of 7.62x54 surplus.

I have been known to do that, and use about 70-75% of the Russian powder. Then I shoot off a cast bullet with Unique in the Russian case in one of my old Mosin Nagants. Seems to make sense to me. :)

I just wish they did FMJ's in .303, My P-14's hate soft points, and while my No.4 will eat anything, I like to shoot it long.

Those seem like a good bullet and reasonably priced, unfortunately none of my rifles like them. But they shoot Speer's 200gr. Grand Slam spitzers quite well or very well.

I have some of the Campro bullets, haven't loaded any yet.

If they are made by General Dynamics then it's likely the same bullet that was used for the Ranger 303 soft point cartridge, which was pretty decent ammo. A Campro 303 soft point is only a few cents more than a cast bullet of the same weight, so they're a good bargain.
