Who owns a Bushnell 6500 4.5-30?

I am in the market for a long range scope and have been thinking of the 4200 or 6500. Is there that much of difference between the two?
 
30mm vs 1" tube everything else is about the same but I could be wrong looking through my 2.5-10x40mm 4200 and my 4.5-30x50mm 6500 there is a big difference in sight picture and field of view.....haven't looked through the higher power 4200's so I can't really compare but my 4200 on 10x vs my 6500 on 10x the 6500 is hands down the winner.

I have a 2.5-16x40 Bushnell 6500 on my T/C Icon in .300 Win. Mag. This is a somewhat heavy combo & I use it for my stand gun when hunting the vast clear cuts of Northern Ontario where 400 - 800 yard shots are not uncommon.

The optics are bright & crystal clear & the adjustments are critical (accurate - a 1" dial adjustment @ 100 yds. corresponds very close to a 1" change in the POI).

This scope measures up to or exceeds the quality & performance of the Leupolds, Redfields, Bausch & Lomb, Simmons scopes that I own.

If the 4-30x? scopes are equivalent in quality I'd say GO FOR IT & buy one.........you won't be disappointed.

The 4200 6-24 that I owned was a 30mm tube.......
 
The 30mm tube will make a huge difference as it is. Two of my buddies have the 6500 4.5-30 scopes, both are very happy. Both also took the time to compare against high-mag variables from Leupold and Zeiss. What put the 6500 over the top was the combination of very good optical clarity, great FOV, larger range of magnification, and price.

I have an 8-32x56 Nighforce on the way and I will be very interested to compare it alongside the 6500.

There were a few models, I was after a higher magnification. I think the one the sales guy laid down on the outdoor table with the rest was a VXIII.
I wanted to join the happy Leupold guys, I truly did, but I had to go with what my eyes were telling me.
I would never have noticed the tint if I didn't have the 6500 to compare it to, I liked the crosshairs of the Leupold, but I liked the side parallax of the 6500 better.
