Who refurbishes shotguns?

Anyone themselves or know of anyone who they’d recommend for refinishing/refurbishing an old savage single shot shotgun? I have one that I could never part with, but is looking rough these days. Finish mostly gone, trigger guard loose, stock scratched and chipped. Any help would be appreciated
It just take time and some elbow grease. Don’t be in a rush and you will find doing it yourself quite satisfying.

There are lots of good DIY videos on Youtube. I just finished a couple of single shot restorations myself and am very happy with the results. You'ld be surprized what you can do with cold blue and Tru-oil once you learn the technique.

It's hard to put $$ on sentimental value...
- Like the guy who spend a few $K to restore a Honda CT90, because it was his first bike...

It doesn't have to make sense, and we get older, the $ will often not be as important as the results we want
I inherited my Dad's late 40's vintage Remington Model 11 (copy of the Browning A5). It's a two barrel set (Full + Skeet) in a fitted oak case. My mother bought it for him new for $100 as a birthday. The gun had been stored in a semi-damp attic so the barrels barrels and receiver had mild external pitting, the stock had some scratches from use (he hunted with it for years) and the forend had a medium split (like a lot of A5's & clones) plus a pellet imbedded in it from when Dad was shot accidentally by someone who thought he was a deer.

I repaired & finished the wood myself (including leaving the pellet in the forend) but sent the barrels & metal out to be professionally restored & refinished. It cost me $500 but the guy did an excellent job that I am very pleased with. The gun still works great and and I have a nice memento of my father which I can pass on to my son.

Sure it cost me 5 times what the gun was worth but the nostalgia value alone was worth it so I have absolutely no regrets. Money is only good for what you can buy with it, especially at my age.
