The ammo my son used were my reloads. Sierra 150 grain SP bullets (Sierra's #2300) over 35.4 grains of IMR 3031. This is the minimum load recommended in Sierra's manual.

The brass was recycled RP.

I've got a Savage No4 mk1* which I deer hunt with every year. It's never let me down and I wouldn't be without it. I guess it comes down to what your used too. I could shoot the eye out of a ?? (what's that expression again??)
