Like the title says. I noticed fronter, wolverine and marstar have corrosive but can't find any Non corrosive stuff..

LOL thats what I thought.. How much would just a 120 rounds of non corrosive be??? I'm getting a SKS and the guy has a 120 rounds for sale

i paid 6$ a box for 20 rounds of norinco non-corrosive, soft point's at the local gunshow here in brandon a couple months ago, i only bought 4 boxes though.

SIR/Cabelas lists it at $22.99 a box...I remember it being cheaper when I order a few boxes about a year ago. It's manufactured in Serbia by PPU (Prvi Partizan). In the past DistriCorp and Things Military carried Igman cartridges, also manufactured in Europe. It's too bad we cannot import this cartridge from the States--Remington, Winchester & Federal all make it--cause then we'd probably be able to get it at Cdn Tire :)

hub sports in abbotsford had some before. They probably don't have any stocked now but if they ask their supplier they might be able to get some.

You got a hell of a deal.
It usually goes for 10 bucks and up for the soft point stuff and 7 bucks for the fmj.

I got some soft point reloadable for $20 for 20 if you want!
LoL!
Everytime I seem to be walking in a Canadain store in search of ammo I feel like...
:bangHead:
Prices of feeding our toys are going to make alot of people slow down from playing so much with there most favorite toy's.

Target-Sports in stoufville had Sellier and Bellot, Wolf and also some Privi if I remember correctly. Something like $15-20 for a box of 20.

now since I dont have my hunting license, and have never bothered looking into the course to get one.....

Does Canada have laws saying you cant shoot a deer with the steel core ammo, and have to get all lead, like hunting laws down in the states?

1. At least in Manitoba, you cannot.

2. Shooting a deer with steel jacket is cruel for the deer. The bullet will penetrate and pass through leaving a nice round hole on the other end, sending the deer off to bleed to death and go through a slow and painful death. You owe it to your prey to finish them quick.

The best bullet for deer is one that expands. What bullet to use is an eternal unending debate.

you CANNOT use fmj to hunt.period.
if you get caught doing it,kiss your gun,car,license,... goodbye.
pick up a hunting regs book and you'll see...

I would reload, if I was you. Get some "brass" and do what you want. While you are at it, you can use lead core instead of steel core and shoot at many indoor ranges that prohibit the Czech ammo.

Target Sports has boxes of 20 rounds of S&B Non-Corrosive for $20 a box.

1$ a pop? I'll stick with my corrosive thanks.

If you're interested in cheap plinking then just use the corrosive ammo. As long as you properly clean your gun after, you will get no rust. I've shot several thousand corrosive through one of my sks's and there is not a spec of rust.

If you're using it for hunting, then it's worth buying the expensive stuff with the proper hunting bullet.
