Who sells 7.62x39 NON CORROSIVE ammo

When I first bought my SKS a got a bunch of non-corrosive Norinco for $5 for a 20 round box. The thing is you really shouldn't be afraid of corrosive ammo. It's not like you shoot a mag of it and the rifle explodes. lol! All you need to do is just put a little warm soapy water through the parts that are exposed to the powder and your fine. In fact if you only use just water you kill 90% of the corrosive salts. In fact its really the primers that are corrosive. Just be sure to get the gas system and you should be good to go. Alot of commie bloc ammo is corrosive but I've never heard of AK's and SKS's or mosin-nagants disintegrating to dust because of it.

A VZ-58 is around $600 and a case of corrosive ammo $200. That's $800.

A case of non-corrosive ammo with 1,000 rounds at $1/round would be $1,000.

Buy a new gun and a case of corrosive ammo and you save $200. After 1,000 rounds of corrosive just throw away the gun and get a new one each time.

I was at the Hamilton show this Sunday and there was non corrosive for $9 for 20 Wolf hollow point

Chec was $12 for 20 hunting loads

and there was some US made stuff for $12

boy, i wish i can get hold of case loads that corrosive military czech ammo since all of our ammo in the states for 7.62x39 are all dry. we usally pay $200 for a case of non corrosive russian wolf, its steel case and cannot be reloaded though.

ps can i go to canada and buy some of that ammo and bring it back to the states??

You can try. It would be illegal for a dealer to sell it to you as I am guessing you do not have a PAL. If you did manage to get some and got caught by US Customs importing prohibited ammunition (steel core) without a DoS approval you would most likely be branded a terrorist and waterboarded during your interrogation. Homeland Security would be watching you for the rest of your life... :D

Waterboarding... The "new" keelhauling... Not sure which one is worse...

DAR 701 hit the nail on the head, it's not a good idea...

Cheers

For those of you in the Ottawa area, Stiitsville Range has two boxes full of S&B 7.62x39 non-corrosive for $17.95 a box of 20. I just wanted a couple of boxes to have in case I ever take the CZ hunting.

BTW, I've seen in a gun shop somewhere in Indiana 7.62X39 and x54R surplus ammo, FMJ with steel core of course; how was it for sale if prohibited?

we have a thing were if there is a pistol that shoots a rifle round such as a ak pistol and there is ammo for that gun that is steel core on the market the ammo would be classed as Armour piercing or "cop killer ammo" that happened in 1993 when olympic arms produced a ar15 pistol that shoots 7.62x39 and at the time china was flooding the market with steel core ammo, even though the ammo wasnt real military AP ammo and the ammo was made with a soft steel the atf being [A-holes as they are] still decided to cut off supply of chinese military from being imported and thats when ammo went from $60 a case to about $90 a case of newly brought in lead russian ammo.

now if someones makes a pistol chambered in 54r the atf will ban the soft steel core ammo as ''Armour piercing"
