Who sells M93 Sportsman these days?

I have always claimed they were one of the best kept secrets in CA.

So what do you think they cost new? I think I paid $200 for my first one new from Dark International 10(?) years ago. It was my second handgun purchase.

Watch the EE, they surface from time to time. I've seen them go for $180 with one mag. Be ready to react if you really want one.

BTB - Mags will be a PITA to find. There are some are lemons out there. Trigger leaves a lot to be desired.

When I saw them for sale when I first got into firearms almost 3 years ago, they were selling for under $180 new. So a used one, of unknown reliability and unknown round count costing $225-250 on the EE seems a bit steep to me. I understand that all guns have gone up now, and they would likely sell in the 225-250 ballpark new today, but still... If these were the ONLY option, then I would consider it, but with used rugers and buckmarks going for $400ish and new 22lr revolvers available for $300 for a single action and under $500 for a DA, I just can't pull the trigger.

My buddy saw a used, old single action at Bass Pro for $150. I gave him #### for not buying it lol... I told him if he comes across a deal like that again, BUY IT. If he doesn't like the gun I will buy it from him.

I know someone who may have one to sell. I'll send him a text and ask if he still has it. He was asking me a few weeks ago if I knew anyone who wanted to buy some pistols.

Trigger pull on my M93 is a very reasonable 4.4-5.6 lbs (I measured it). I've no complaints whatsoever.
By the way, I paid $219 for my New Old Stock (NOS) M93 in the early 2016. Exactly the same box as in the post #19.
Surely, nowadays the EE remains the only source for the M93.
On the other note, I don't quite understand why Norinco discontinued their production?

Trigger pull on mine is good, but inconsistent. Seems to go light-light-heavier-light-light-heavier.....

Haven't a clue what might cause that.

Had some sticky mag problems to.

Do you clean your M93 after each shooting? I always do. If you don't, perhaps, there is an accumulation of crud in the trigger mechanism? I have a general habit of cleaning my all guns (pistols&rifles) after shooting and for the M93 I just spray quite liberally Ballistol into the trigger mechanism, wait for a while as the black crud flows down and then a bit of cotton swab cleaning wherever I can reach. That's all.
I have 4 mags and when they came in I rubbed each of them for like 15min with a white cloth soaked in Ballistol. You wouldn't imagine how much surface rust came off the mags. I was doing this until after each rubbing the cloth was nearly white. After removing rust, Ballistol embeds into the steel surface and there is no rust accumulation anymore. Then just a wipe out with Ballistol is sufficient to keep the surface rust-free. Now the magazines work flawlessly. But those M93 mags are not free-fall mags, anyway.

I had one for a couple of years. I read cleaning them was a bithc. So I never did. I fired off about a 1000 rounds before I started getting the occasional misfire. Sold it on the EE. Yes the buyer was well aware that he was buying a dirty pistol. All in all it was a good gun for the price I paid. I miss it.

I picked up a Israeli Beretta 71 surplus as its replacement.

Hmmm no. Doesn't get shot all that much. I bore snake and apply a little CLP after every range trip and that's about it.

Once a year I pull the grips and blast it with brake cleaner until it drips clean then douse it with WD40.

The sticky mags were such that you couldn't remove them by pulling on bottom mag tab. I discovered that pushing them from the top with the slide open got them out. Still a nuisance when the RSO is attempting to clear the range.

That's weird. I have 4 mags and none of them behaves like that. Perhaps, they are bent, not being straight at some point along the length? You can also remove the plastic grips and check carefully at which point inside the frame the mag makes the largest resistance to pulling it down. May be it catches at something inside the frame?

Seemed to be sharp edges on the heel of the mags and a sharp edge on the mag retainer. I smoothed off both and don't appear to have the problem any more. As I said, pushing down on the mag from the ejection port helped. Maybe that was tipping the mag slightly.

I have one it is a very good pistol for the price. I had bought I years ago for my wife she has not used it in a long time. So I had mentioned to her about selling it. I got a big fat NO not my pistol your not. I guess she likes it.

Ditto.... I've been trying to wean my wife from hers and it looks like that ain't going to happen any time soon.

I had one back when I could buy it for $150 with 2 mags. For the money it was a great little gun! Decent accuracy, reliable too. but its NOT worth the crazy prices people ask for them on EE! I ended up getting a GSG1911 and no regrets. If you want a target gun get a Buckmark, if you want a fun plinker get a GSG.

You guys are killin' me.

Trust me. They're terrible guns. You don't want them stinking up your safes. Allow me to set you free from their oppressive bond.
