Who sells pure lead ingots

Try a scrap yard. Sheet lead and cable sheathing are very close to pure lead, for two sources. If you really want to buy pure lead ingots, look up Lead in the yellow pages - people like Roto Metals, Purity, Canada Metal etc.

for Calgary, Western Metals. I bought 500lbs off him a number of years ago along with tin.
They have a webpage also. You pay pretty much the current metal rates, but, is is nice clean stuff, no hazardous additives to worry about.

if you want a smaller ammount, I've seen pure lead in the fishing section at walmart.
I don't know where you are, but here in Edmonton, if you've got cash, you can have whatever you want in the yard.
Try Tonolli in Cooksville Ont., they are a lead smelter and can supply anything you like. They used to make plumbers bars that I belive are pure lead.
I used them for my bullet metal for years when I was a commercial bullet maker.
Maybe it's an oversight, but a big one.
That said, I'm looking for used wheel weights. I'll pay $25 per 5G bucket.
I have two buckets of wheel weights in Calgary for the first person who comes and picks them up. They didn't cost me anything so I will pass that price savings along to anyone who is strong enough to carry them out of my yard.
That is why I buy the lead roof flashing Ben. 98% pure. Can tear it with your hand it is so soft. Actually tests softer than the Lee tester chart goes.
How much do you need. If not a lot what about the 6 oz duck decoy weights canadian tire sells. They come in boxes of six..

I was on yesterday to see that the ad I put up to sell my old truck was deleted and surfed through the new items listed and one or them was foot long 2 pound lead ingots for 1.00 each. This was on the Thunder Bay kijiji in the other section, I was a bit suprised to see lead ingots listed.

Lead wheel weights is perfect for me. My guns eat them fine.
Next time, I should search for lead ingots instead of 'lead'. I found someone in Barrie, Ontario selling for 85 cents lbs. Someone selling in Milton for $1 lbs if buying over 100lbs. I still like the ww route. Much cheaper. I don't mind melting 'em down myself to save even more bucks.
