Who shoots a .20-250?

cat-hater. Think about it....
I settled on a fast twist .22-250 I had Dennis Sorenson do for me last year. Got a workable load going but still want to fine tune it some. 75gr Amax at 3200 fps. As chronied by my Archery chronometer.

I get the cat-hater, that's why I said "duh". It's just that for some reason my brain thinks catheter. Perhaps its because there is no space or hyphen between the two words!

IMO the .22-250 is one of the best .22 cal centerfires. I don't know why they all come with such slow twist (1:12 or 1:14) from the factory.

22-250 shines as a varminter... light and fast. That's why the slow twist. no other practical use for a heavy 223 bullet except in target shooting.

As to some of the other silly overbore cartidges, i seriously doubt bullets will stay together at velocities pushing 5k

So seeing this post is from '09 and I recently saw your 22-243 on the EE, what didn't you like about it?

I wish I could say, but I never have owned one yet. Neat to see that I had that goal in mind 3 years ago though. With the recent aquisition of a 7-08, I have the commercial ones beat.

That would be nice, but how many rounds would you get out of that barrel before having to change it out?
