who shoots in the winter?

Well it's about 6 degrees out today, but I didn't shoot because I was checking out the new fatburger we got in town. $2.00 for a beer! nice haha

Well heading out again this weekend omly -13 right now and looking for about -3 on Sunday. Way better than the -20 the other day!

Last weekend... -15 with no wind. Perfect for attempting a mile. :D (Didn't hit it, ran out of elevation on the scope. Did get 1km easily though.)

I do when I can. The shorter daylight hours are a problem, but the main problem is the position of the sun in the sky. Our range faces east and I like to shoot in the morning (less people around) not great for using a scope!

Note to self: Pay attention to the proper shouldering of .375H&H, when prone and overdressed, at -30C. 4 inches of eye relief doesn't work when the butt slips under, eh?.

Removing the imbedded eyeglass frame from cranium was easy, .... however, dried blood in the walnut grain ........ ?

The analgesic qualities of extreme cold can, at times, be welcome.:sok2

I did yesterday in Phoenix, it was 85 degrees, light wind and not a cloud to be seen. :)))

Minus 6, no wind and brilliant sunshine. Only 750 yards though.

I had to stop firing twice, once for a Moose cow and calf and the second time for three Whitetail does that stepped out into the firing line.

And no, there are no safety issues, the trail is a dead end and the only tracks in the fresh snow are mine.

It doesn't get any better than this:)

You are a fortunate man indeed! And no bugs. I feel sorry for any coyotes that may step out onto your range. Bonus for you I would imagine.
