Who shoots the 22mag

Got 2 of em. First one was the AMT 6" and just love it. Its very bullet sensitive. The other was the Ruger 77/22. Its a toss up between that and the 77/17 for grouse. Long ago I started collecting 22 mag ammo knowing the price wasnt going to go down.

Have a 9422M. It's my do everything, throw in the truck, pack on the horse, etc rifle. One of two rifles I own that does not wear a scope. Would love to find a Marlin lever someday.

It's a great cartridge. I use it for badgers and coyotes, but it sure is fun to splatter the odd gopher with as well.

Just the stock iron sights or something aftermarket?

I think a lot of people are going for the .17 hmr nowadays but the .22 mag still rocks.

Stock sights, they aren't great but my eyes are young and I'm used to irons.

It seems alot of guys are getting rid of them also. I`ve been offered a few of them by guys who want to get .22 mags instead.

Picked up a Marlin 925M last winter and I like it a lot. Plenty of reach for my shooting abilities, slightly cheaper ammo and some more peace of mind for targets like coyotes and beaver compared to the .17HMR.
