Good enough that I bought a Jackson Hunter Model 52 in 280AI,and was so pleased that I bought a second one. Both shoot 1/2" groups at 100 yards when I do my part.I then bought a Model 57 Classic in 17Mach2 that shoots 1/2" groups at 100 yards in calm conditions.I decided that I wanted a 17Mach2 that had the same stock as my Model 52s,so I sold the classic to a friend for what I paid for it and ordered a Model 57 Jackson Hunter in 17Mach2.I also picked up a Model 57 Jackson Hunter in 22lr that easily shoots sub 1/2" at 50 yards, with some groups closer to 1/4" with better quality ammunition. They not only shoot very accurately, but the design is very good, and the fit and finish is superb.
I am picking up 16,000 rounds in a couple of weeks that should last me for awhile.Ammunition is not scarce where I shop.
It's accurate and flat shooting to 150 yards or more, and I am buying ammunition for less than half the cost of 17HMR.An extra 50 yards,is not worth double the cost of ammunition to me.Compared to a 22lr,the 17Mach2 tends to be more accurate at longer distances with similarly priced ammunition, and it shoots flatter.
