Has anyone else had hard extract problems with their surplus ammo? mine fails to extract every 20 shots or so. also it really doesnt like mags with 5 rounds in it. magpul or metal mags.

I can't comment on the FTE, but sounds like your mags are pinned too tight (ie. pinned to only hold exactly 5 with no wiggle room - should pin to 5.5 rounds).

Picked one up about a month ago, have ran around 300 surplus rounds through it with zero issues, using pmags and the metal ak mag it came with. Accuracy isnt the greatest for sure but I knew that already. I'm more than happy with it.

Has anyone that owns one considered gluing the aluminum upper extrusion to the upper receiver, essentially bedding the two much like a tube gun?
Is there any reason the two need to separate, be it for maintenance or complete stripping?

I would have picked on up if it had a light profile barrel, but id rather have one with a light barrel, hoping they still come in with one someday.

Couldn't agree more. I actually really liked the design and how smooth the action was, but the rifle was unreasonably front heavy. It would have been a keeper with a lighter profiled barrel.
