I can pitch in a bit but firstly....this has been my own personal build for personal use and practice.
But I'll gladly share with you what I have done.

Stock G34 Gen3 + drop in mods, except the loads and mag well extensions.

1) Burris FastFire II + mount (didn't like the huge contraptions, wanted something sleeker & that would holster easier) + had one sitting around ;)
2) Heavy tungsten guide rod (weighed down the front just right, made it easier for me to naturally bring it to point/shoot position) (ht tp://glockstore.com/)
3) Lonewolf 4 port barrel with logos on underside (reduced recoil by roughly 50%. You can go with a compensated/threaded barrel as well. With 9mm I could see no reason to do that. The ported barrel was more than sufficient for 9mm. For a higher caliber I might.)
Lonewolf barrels: ht tps://shopquestar.com/shopping65/default.asp
Compensated/threaded packages: htt p://bb-enterprise.biz/?cu_id=84L69-G10B45&st_id=bbent12869a75de

4) SJC (Carver) magwell (this weight at the bottom + the guide rod weight up top gave the overall balance I was looking for and got rid of the 2% of speed loads that didn't go in just perfect. A chimp could load this thing now) (htt p://bb-enterprise.biz/?cu_id=84L69-G10B45&st_id=bbent12869a75de)
5) Mag extension pads made by myself until they were just right ;)
6) Guide rod recoil buffer (ht tp://glockstore.com/)

A Fulcrum complete trigger set & titanium striker should be arriving any hour now. Looking forward to it (ht tp://glockstore.com/)
At that point, it will be done.

The 4 port barrel with 125 Gr LRN reduced recoil to just above my old GSG .22. There isn't much between them.

It's a very accurate package in the right hands and extremely quick to operate.

Note: Doing western hip draw/fires is out of the question with the 4 port/open slide or you will blind yourself.

TACTICAL111, how much money do you figure you have into that Glock?

When the striker & trigger get here, around $1600.

Paid near $1400 for a match grade 1911.
Was a complete disaster, sold it and turned to Glock.

With that in context, it was worth every damn penny ;)
10,000 rounds + now. It constantly amazes me.

That barrel is AWESOME! I must own one for my G34!!!

Just forewarning you that when shooting lead through it you will get build up around the ports inside the barrel and on the inner portions of your slide. Just the nature of the beast ;)

This is after today (maybe 500 rounds)

No solvent will remove it, no brush will remove it. I let it build up for 2000 rounds, then take a chisel and crack it off, give her a quick clean and she's ready to go. The build up does not affect anything.

If you're trying to compete in a beauty pageant, this may not be for you. Just saying ;)

Thanks for the info! But its a Glock... how pretty can it be? I ordered one through Storm Lake barrels today at the recommendation of Questar. They don't bring in the barrels for the 34. Storm lake ships to Canada direct, but they charge a $50 Broker fee. I shoot jacketed bullets so this shouldn't be an issue. But if anyone else is looking for a full size ported barrel I would recommend trying out Storm Lake.

Well TACTICAL111 that's not to bad price wise for what you have there at all. Pretty darn reasonable really. I shoot open division guns myself so seeing money disappear fast doesn't shock me at all. Also shoot a ton of lead through my steelmaster and have little issue in cleaning it.

I would try taking an old copper brush and a cleaning rod. Cut the rod down to about 3" and insert in a variable speed drill. Wrap copper Chor Boy threads around the brush to take out the leading in the comp. It should work.

Take Care

Open Glock

I got mine built on a Glock 17 Desert Storm Anniversary.
It has a match KKM barrel with a 2 chamber
compensator, Dawson mag well, tungsten
non-captured rod, ZEV adjustable trigger
and competition mag release.
It has a Burris FastFire red dot sight
mounted on the slide.
The recoil is like a .22.
JB, if you live in the Ottawa area you can
check it out and shoot it at my range.
Happy New Year !
Robert

Nice job :D Love the slide details.

Did you have any issues with that trigger assembly?

I just received mine yesterday. It's the complete drop in set.

Did the swap, took it out today and it was a FTEject machine. 1-2 every 10 shots. There is no ejection pattern anymore, some left, some right, some up, some forward.

Have never had FTE issues in the past, so stripped everything this afternoon and tore down the trigger assembly.
Decided to try the original ejector housing assembly + spring with the Zev (Fulcrum) trigger bar and trigger.

Will take it out next weekend, hopefully this will cure the issue.

I must say, the trigger pull is outstanding!
What a difference. Really hoping this works ;)
