Who tightens 1911 frames?

I have an old Ejercito Argentino 1927 that's pretty slack. It really needs tightening to improve accuracy. I've read about frame peening, and would like to try it, but I feel this is a job for a pro.

I don't want to ship my gun to BC, it's at the other end of the country. Who does this kind of job in the East? Ontario, Québec or the Maritimes?

I mignt also want to add good adjustable sights to it and change the original trigger for a better one.

getting the barrel fitted would be better than tightening the frame/slide.

Normally I'd agree, but the taper-end barrel is well fitted in a proper bushing, no waggling.

which will work well for lateral slop, vertical needs peening or swageing. There is supposed to be a good 1911 smith in ontario somewhere but I don't know who, you could ask gunnar at armco, he would probably recomend someone if you want.

Consider cross country xpress shipping's only $15 or so for an express packet to fit it well padded, I wouldn't really be too concerned about sending it to BC...
