Who uses a tactical or mil-dot recticule for hunting? I use the mil-dot system and ever since I figured it out my shooting has improved by 100% and my range "guesstimation" has become very accurate.(+/- 25-30 yards) I can't say enough good things about it.

The mildot reticles are all I have on all of my scopes (Leupold, Super Sniper, and Leupold Knockoff-Ebay-Mainland-Kommunist-China).

I use a Mildot Master for field shooting matches. What a wonderful piece of kit. Best $ 55 I ever spent at Wolverine Supplies, next to my Armalite Lower Reciever.

Cheers,
Barney

Mildots are a 'must have' feature on all my scopes for the reasons mentioned. Range estimation will become second nature with a little practise, and mildots are all the same, unlike proprietary BDC/ranging reticles.

I have a ballistic table printed out and stuck to the stocks of my rifles listing the trajectory in inches, clicks, and mils :D

And I've taken to zeroing my rifles at +2 dots at 100 - gives a little more range out of them, especially at high magnification (which makes the dots on most scopes 1/2 mil instead of a full mil)
