Who wants a Restricted M16?

Oh no! Not an automatic!!! I see dip-sh*t kids with sks's blasting away at my range that are extremely care-less and dangerous. If you have the want and huge amount of funds that would be required to own and use any automatic I'm sure you would study up on how to use it properly. Any idiot can turn any firearm into a dangerous item...Maybe your projecting your own lack of knowledge and confidence to operate an automatic. So because you see no need, don't think you could use it safely nobody should be able to? I don't think rich idiots that are not race car drivers should have cars and bikes that can go 350km cause they don't need them and have no specific training...deerp.

I personally don't see the need for full auto. It's totally useless and COMPLETELY dangerous in the hands of an untrained shooter. Now I'm not trying to ruffle any feathers here or stray away from the topic at hand here but in reality, it has no purpose in civilian hands.

It's not about "need".

Thanks.

Viet Nam proved that FA was an ammo waster in the hands of most soldiers.

Registered M16 fa rifles are restricted to the owner and prohibited to non fa owners There are not that many around

The man in green taught me how to use a full auto rifle some years back and I don't remember the experience as being any more magical then semi-automatic rifles.

But as long as you don't see the need I suppose. Bolt action rifles for everyone!

Perhaps we can use this as an oppurtunity to "FIX" ar-15 class.

semi auto = non restricted by oic
full auto = prohib

instead of all being restricted at the moment.

As far as not needing full auto. A nutjob with a semi is no more danger then a nutjob with a fullauto.We live in a country of want, not need.

I think they'll quickly modify the definition through an OIC to:

PART 2
RESTRICTED FIREARMS

Former Restricted Weapons Order

2. The firearm of the design commonly known as the M-16 rifle, and any semi-automatic variant or modified version of it, including the:
(a) Colt AR-15;
(b) Colt AR-15 SPI;
etc etc etc

There's no way they'll allow anything full-auto to be reclassified as restricted. The news would be all over this and the outrage would be tremendous.
