Dealers take note! We want the XDM:D

What's the hold up anyway? I'll send you the rivets if pinning the mag is the issue!

Bloody hell, this thread will pop up once a while to hurt my feeling. I want a 40 anyway. if it make it to Canada, I will sell my glock as well as another shotgun to fund this purchase, just look at how great is the design will put my G17 into the dark end corner of my gunsave.

I have been lusting after this gun for a little while now.

Make mine a 9mm in bi-tone please.

I just received an e-mail from SA a week ago saying that they had no immediate plans to release a 10 round mag for the XD (m).

i have had the cash sitting in my gun account for a .40 for awhile. If they dont get their crap together and get a 10 round mag for the xdm to import them into Canada i just my buy a glock out of spite!

But *why* wasn't "No, because I am quite happy with my one (or more) original XD" an option for the poll??? Hum????? ;)

Yeah SA has not released a 10 round mag for the XD (m) yet. Someone once posted an e-mail from SA on xdtalk.com that said they were going to release a 10 rd mag sometime this winter.

I called them and e-mailed them and was told that no release date has been set.

I'm impatient so I went with Glock instead.

But damn that XDm is a ###y piece of equipment.

Nope.

I don't want one. I'm sure that it is a fine pistol and that many people own one. But not me.
The XD & the XDM sits too high in the hand to start with and is kinda blocky. I don't care for the grip safety either. The barrel lockup is just like all the others on the market currently. That is, there is no front lockup. We're talking military accuracy only.
For the same money you can obtain a Beretta M9, a G17, a S&W M&P, or a decent Taurus 1911, Para GI in 45, etc, the list goes on......

^^^^^^^

Looks like a dealer could make a tidy bunch of cash if they could import some and pin the mags.

HINT HINT!!!!;)

Looking at the mags they have holes like the Glock so they should be able to slap a rivet in there to make them legal. But hey, what do I know?

why is it not allowed in cali? i understand that in cali mags are restricted to 10rounds. but why ban the gun?

California requires a magazine disconnect for sale there, the XDm doesn't have one. They also need 10 round mags, which don't exist - yet.

California will probably never see a new gun model for a long, long time. The new "safety" requirements are so strict that entire manufacturers are saying forget it and not even bothering to market new pistols in the state.

I don't get this mag thing either.
All the dealers sell rifles (AR's) with pinned mags. So what is the difference.

Take Questar for *example....Being in the import business does he not have the ability to import firearms with pinned mags??
Grab 5 each, Pin them, Sell them, Bang, Done, Happy Nutters!

*I used Questar as the name is familiar with CGN'ers
