Who will import a pistol from US other than

I need an importer for a pistol I want in the states. Questar charges +- 500 -700$ and so does the firm that dave refers on his site. anybody else do it for less? I dont mind paying 300$ but 700 is stupid for 1 pistol

Buffalo Gun Centre in Buffalo will sell to you, and take care of all the paperwork but you have to go meet them at the border. Positive side is they only charge 100 bucks. All you have to do is have it registered before you pic it up.

Clay at Prophet River will handle everything for you and way cheaper than $700 per firearm!! All you have to do is to pay and wait a bit, Clay will handle all the paperwork for both side of the border. I recommend him to all who wish to import.

I am thinking of import a Les Baer 1911 as well and I don't want to pay 700 on top of an already very expensive pistol.

Clay at Prophet River Firearms in Lloydminster, AB does it all for around $300. I have imported several pistols through him and while it is a slow process (around 3-5 months for pistols) you will save some money. Cheers

Clay (Prophet River) is bringing in two pistols for me. It will take many months for the transfers to be complete. In an email he mentioned a number in the hundreds of firearms he's waiting to process from the US.

Have you tried the Baer and Ed Brown dealer? 1911bdw dot com, they'll order one for you, if they don't have what you want and the prices are in line with the US prices on the same item.

Hmmm, for that amount of money, coupled with a very strong Cdn dollar, you could bring in an AR180B2 and still save money compared to what they're going for in the EE. That is, if you manage to track one down for sale in the USofA.
