Kind of suprized you guys are threading for rem chokes. I have had quite a few vintage guns done over the years and especially my remingtons always asked for rem chokes but they never had the barrel material requirements (Thickness) to be threaded for such and this includes Briley saying the same
This includes superx1, 1100, 870 and model12 to name a few I have had fitted in various gauges. Most recient a 410 wingmaster
In canada there are many sources to get 12ga and 20ga done for screw ins but all of the 10, 16, 28 and 410's I have had done had to be shipped to Briley in the US as well as any double barrels. Mainly colonial thin wall and briley tubes Do new guns have much thicker barrels?? have the rem chokes changed?? so they can be installed now in vintage barrels.
Are they being fitted in vintage guns?? or perhaps others use different tube tolerances as being acceptable . Just curious
Cheers
