Who wore it best?

Looks nice both of them. What do you charge for your work?

Right now I have only been doing it for friends and family so I don't know what I should charge for my work, At least 3 hours goes into it plus the finish materials, most people would not want to spend a lot into a 250 $ rifle, I also have my reservations about doing anything to a collectible firearm, usually the stuff that I do has already lost collect- ability from previous things done to it. And I tend to prefer natural looking aftermarket finishes anyways, but sometimes I like to play around.

I've done one like the black, pics don't do justice to the depth. It turns out like tiger eye, fantastic in the sun. I bet it's the same with the red. Both are just lovely. Care to share your secret sauce recipe for the dye in the red one?
Cheers!

I work in a cabinet shop and I'm the finish guy, the dye is from walls alive company in Edmonton, I used Renners water based dye, red dye and irgasberg black. 50 parts red dye 1 part Black, put 2 coats on the stock undiluted and the stained with min-wax red oak before 2 coats of amber shellac and tung oil top coats, and pics don't do it justice
