Wholesale sports sale

Sadly they are giving first choice of hundreds of guns in Saskatoon to dealers instead of the consumers that supported them. Local manager is an arrogant AH who has never cared about the customer.

Picked up a Ruger American in 9mm for 467 bucks plus taxes. There's a few other rifles left (maybe 10) on display. Apparently the Saskatoon store is getting another 100-120 shipped in from other stores.. also picked up an RCBS percision mic for my 270, and some 270, and 30 cal projectiles.... not too much really. Saved maybe 350 bucks all in all.... win for me thought. Reloading equipment was almost nil though...

Actually guys at the counter said was over 300 coming in and rather than give consumers the 1st choice, they are selling to dealers and managers friends. Thanks UFA!

Then selling them for 35% off full retail.

If we're lucky. I've seen a couple listed already that were less than 10% off retail price, some maybe 15%.

I should have scooped that '94 Marlin in .44mag the second I saw it. There was still four left when I seen them for 40% off, or $540. The place was a frickin' zoo that day, I stood around for about 20 minutes waiting for some help, but they were too busy selling guns to get to everyone. So I finally talked myself out of it. When I got home a few hours later I gave my head a shake and drove straight back to WSS. A certain dealer north of here had taken the remaining 1894's, along with a bunch of other great deals in the couple hours I was away.

Hopefully there will be some nice firearms left for us after the dealers get their fill in a couple days, but I'm not holding my breath.

why is it greasy? Buying product at less than he can any other day of the year. Smart move on his part

Being given red carpet access to the stock room. Clearing the store of handguns then I see them posted on the dealers site some are $300 more then I could have gotten it at wholesale. Smart move? Yup very smart at screwing the community that is keeping them in business.

Was in my LGS last week and he commented the liquidator at the closest WSS called him asking if he wanted to buy bulk lots of firearms at xx discount.

So it would appear that they are wanting to clear in lots now nearing the end of the liquidation. It makes sense for them to do it that way in my mind.

Its called Free Market..... buy low, sell high. You should have bought them at Wholesale before they offered them to Dealers then.

I'm pretty sure this sort of bulk sales to other retailers happens in most cases of a liquidation. Makes it easier for them. Business is business.
9 times out of 10 no one hears about it or cares.

Hopefully the buyers will pass along part of the savings to people who weren't in a position to get to the sale at Wholesale.

I could not agree more... a retailer who buys at liquidation prices only does so if the liquidation price is lower than his normal wholesale cost. These opertunities are not with out risk to the retailer , who now must manage his increased inventory and get a return on his investment. Retailers make money on turning over inventory and lose money if inventory sits on the shelf.
Successful retailers pass the savings on to their customers.

It's greasy for the WS manager to bring in friends ahead the regular supporting customer. From what I've been told he is the boss from hell. The liquidator does not care it's easy for them get a commission for less work.
My issue isn't at all with Frontier. They got a good deal. Just would rather see the supporters of WS get the benefits instead of competition and managers friends.
