Wholesale Sports

in my experience Wholesale is ok if they have the gun you want in stock, but if they say they will get one from another store or order it don't bother, they will never call you back and if you phone them they tell you not to.

they also don't stock much handgun ammo but Cabellas doesn't either

This

I had purchased a rifle from them online. All online orders are done out of the Calgary store. After 3 days of calling them to confirm they said they had 3 available rifles but all were at other stores. They would have to transfer them. 2 weeks later I called back and they said they hadn't transferred yet. Another week or 2 later no more of the rifles were available even tho their computers said they still had 2 at other stores. I very much felt like I was being told to Piss Off.

They would have to have some kind of mind boggling special deals for me to try them again.

Yup. If they have it in the store fine. Forget about ordering anything though.

Yay! First no sale sports hater!

I would rather go browse in the "Whirling Razor Blades and Lemon Juice Store" than go within 5 nautical miles of nss.

Do a search for "WSS hate".

No sale sports

Haven't had a good dealing with No Sale Sports - yet. It's either not in stock, only available at another store, on back order, we'll get back to, etc.

I've complained to a service rep and was told she gets all kinds of complaints but no one in management gives a rat's ass. Makes her life hell.

I'm talking simple things like bullet moulds and sizing dies I can get within 10 days from the US. Going into the Langley, BC store is an exercise in frustration - "We had it, but now we have to wait for our next resupply. Want us to put you on the list?"

If you know what you want, and you've done your research online and you're educated, then go to WS after you've checked prices, you might save a few dollars and if the prices aren't the best...buy some ammo, it's cheap there!

I order all my reloading tools from the Midsouth in the US for exactly this reason. It sucks making a list of 10 items and discovering that one is available (and none are in stock).

The pricing is much better too.

This place has to be the worst place I have delt with for online orders...

Last tues I ordered 10 boxes of ammo off there site. Next day they called me requesting a photo of my PAL and I gladly sent it to the and asked how long till it ships. The woman on the phone said it is all is stock so it should take a day or so to get it in the mail which is odd but I can live with that.

Well here I am a week later and I get an email telling me the ammo is no longer in stock and will have to be backordered!!! How can you possibly get an order, have the order in stock, wait for a week and tell the coustomer that pretty much "we were to lazy to mail it out or put it off to the side and now you will have to wait a few months to get it".

This is the first and last experience I am having with these clowns.

The Langley store has got to be the worst (also the newest I believe) which may explain some of their stocking issues.. ie. they don't stock the shelves with product, generally speaking they have none.
I drop in occasionally on my way past as I live 3 minutes up the road from them and it's the only gun store in town.. otherwise it's not worth the drive to find little product, little knowledge, and great frustration.
all i got on that.

Edit: There are a couple cuties working there; tight buttocks, pretty smiles - Maybe that's why I drop by still ;)

They, had mossberg shotties on sale so I tried to buy some, over 7 weeks later and approx. 12 hours on the phone and internet with them ( mostly waiting for them to recheck something they checked on 4 times already) ,they are finally in the hands of Canada Post for the last week and should be here by Friday!
I wonder what surprises will be in the box when I open it up!
Oh yea, and like another guy said above, it really seems like they just want you to f**k off and don't bother them. This was the toughest time I have ever had trying to give a store my $800. and getting a product!

I've dealt with them for at least 10 years, always by mail order . I've never had a problem with the outfit although quite often the items I need are out of stock.

Haven't had any complaints, I bought most my lee reloading gear from them as they had the best price on presses and dies.

I do miss when Russels was a separate store though... Best prices for reloading equipment in the city and the staff was actually knowledgeable and friendly.

Dealt with WS mailorder lots over the years. Never had an issue.

Last gun I bought off them was a NIB Ruger MkIII 22/45 .22 lr pistol with 4.5" slabside barrel. Ordered it on a Mon or Tues, received same on Thurs or Fri the same week. No issues.

NAA.

Yea their online stock status is the ####s. Try ordering anything that says it is in, and then they check to see if any of their stores have it. And then they give you a line about having to spend some weeks to get it from another store. That's when I tell them No Sale.

The Langley store I visited once. Kids staff the counter. One of them was good but you know, they're kids and their minds are on when their shift is ending. Polite, distracted. They had a lot of guns on their racks and that store has plenty of other things to look at.

Re wholesaleSports

Prices excellent Edmonton Purchased Ruger Vaquero.357 in stock 589.00on computer was 629.00 One other Competitor was 689.00 another was 789.00 Also Mini 14 was low price etc. There handgun ammo is behing counter by handgun area. One of the other main gun stores I hear a lot of good things ,not Whelsale Sports but a gun store just dealing with guns. But,I had bad expierincewith their word. One store said they would get my sights fixed when I purchased a used AR15 firearm from them because manufacturer had a problem . Fine----Not so -when gun came back I had to pay around 250.00 or not get my gun back. Not a way to do businees. So be careful.Wholesale Sports are excellant .

Their online inventory system is rarely updated. It let's you order stuff online and you are sitting there waiting for something to arrive that's back ordered for months. Too many locations and nobodys keeping track of what's in stock. Reminds me of Rogers bundling your cable/wireless/internet onto one bill yet when you have a problem nobody can answer your questions because none of thhe rogers services has a clue what the rest are doing.

I went to the Calgary store, before Christmas, and there were 10 people in the store. I wasn't sure they were open, when I pulled into the parking lot. How the mighty have fallen! I remember when they made you take a number in the firearms section. Now, every salesman asks if you need help, if you even slow down near the counter. I think Bass Pro shop in Calgary, and Cabelas in Edmonton have dealt them a serious blow. They've gotten out of most of their cold weather gear, and are starting to look more like Sportchek, in the clothing dept.

Never had a chance to completed an online order. On three separate orders over past couple of years cancelled after 2 weeks of still pending.
