Who's coming BCRA service Rifle Championships?

How much entrance fee?

Can we pick up our fired brass to reload later, or does it stay on the ground?
(that will determine what ammo I bring)

Can I bring a camera? (for my article:) )

How late in the day can I expect it to run?

Looking forward to it. Sat is supposed to be a great day, maybe too hot almost.

what times are the pistol matches on Friday? and what time does it start on Saturday and Sunday? fees? etc etc etc

Sweet! All four of us will have a great time!
Pick up your brass? No definately not allowed.
No cameras allowed however you may bring a an easel to paint a picture.Faces must be blacked out though. Please ignore all the pics people have posted on here in the past...

Shooting starts at 0700 on saturday. You MUST be there for the briefing.
I'm not sure what time it starts on friday but I believe the first relay kicks off at around 10am.Expect to be finished shooting saturday by 1630-1700.Sunday by noon.
Fees?No idea since my unit pays.BCRA is $20 I think.

Looks like service pistol starts at 1100 on Friday, and costs $30 for BCRA members. Service rifle is $35 for BCRA members, +$5 if you want a copy of the scores.

'Savage' and I will be driving out tomorrow for the rifle component and will miss out on the pistol. I believe a bunch of the other hooligans have already left or leaving today. I think at least 5 from the CSRA are attending. See you all there:wave:

I'm already here in the lower mainland... did some digging around Longshots place of work but couldn't find his rifle to mess with it ;)

Damm there goes that plan  Greg McLean, Rob Morton Richard Kurina will be there for the pistol match

just got home and really want to go to bed, but I am going to try and stay up and shoot the pistol match. Still not sure about the rifle match as I only just borrowed a scope from Rooster33 and have yet to zero it.

well that worked out well. fell asleep on the couch and woke up at 2:30pm. ooops.

great match today, I placed 21 out of 41 I think, so I am happy considering it's my first time and I didn't even fire two shots on the 500 - 100m rundown. Longshot got his ass handed to him by HeadDamage and is still suffering the bruised ego. I think the last time I saw him he was considering a ### change or something to go with his "manties". (he's standing right behind me actually).
It was great seeing the Colonel out again, 79 yrs young and still does the whole rundown. That man can certainly show us all a thing or two.
RichLSP won the pistol match, but #### his drawers today (he's not standing behind me, but will likely smack me when he hears about this post). Rooster33 also #### his pants a couple times, but shot well overall I think. Canadian Rangers out with their 303's is always a hoot, and some of them are damn good shooters. Nothing really fancy at the match, which is normal for Service Rifle as you'll be laughed off the range if you show up with too much of a space gun.
I didn't qualify for the Soldiers Match but will go up for the team shoot tomorrow.

ok end of the 3rd day for some (2nd day for me) and the match is all wrapped up. Huge congrats to all the winners, HeadDamange and Longshot seem to have split most of the targets between them, but a few other guys got in there as well, RichLPS being one, and a few others I can't remember right now in my sunburned haze. A huge thanks to all who worked so hard at this match. and a special thanks to the new Major for coming out to hand out the trophies and tell us what his plans are for the future of the Volkes range. Lets just say if he has his way, Volkes will be the premier range facility for all the shooters in the lowermainland, pistol, rifle, shotgun (think action type shooting). I know I will be watching what happens up there with great interest.
I would also like to thank the rest of Team Wannabe's for allowing me to be a part of team and letting be the first to bring the trophy we won home (team shoot; running man).
on a special note, two of the RCR's who were there this weekend are currently going through training for deployment to Afghan and as such will be overseas for next years match. I am sure all here wish them the best, and I hope they keep in contact with us and let us know how they are doing. As I said today, all they need to do is post a request and care packages will be mailed to them ASAP, I hope they take us up on it as I would be proud to once again contribute for a worthy cause like that.
See everyone at the Sniper match.
