whos got a bd38

well some measurements on the barrel and bolt for starters want to have a non restricted barrel built and also modified to closed bolt firing. so i need bolt or receiver diameter and also barrel diameter where it enters the trunion. also are the bd38 semi autos available as a receiver only thanks

why modify it for closed bolt?

X2, besides, Marstar has a closed-bolt model meant for the US, maybe Johnone can get you one if you really wanted it, I have no clue why the hell anyone in Canada could possibly have any incline to even think of pondering the possibility of even remotedly think of getting one mind you .... Such a thing is just beyond words ...

well i kind of figured that id get blasted when i posted this but my reasons are quite understandable for a gunnut. My reasons are the same as my reason for owning guns because i like them and because i can. and maybe i have more money than sense and love to tinker.

BLUESTRATUS;
Are you asking for a set of our shop drawings ?
We can have a receiver only shipped over, but why ? FA parts will not fit.... The only internals that will fit are those made at DS....
On the other hand if you are licensed we have FA receivers available....
As for the closed bolt issue, I can assure you that it is not simply "a conversion" this is a completely redesigned firearm which we came up with for the US market....
While I can appreciate that you "like to tinker" having such a hobby in Canada under our firearms laws (with this type of firearm)can be a treacherous pastime for any person wishing to avoid our court system.

john
im not sure whats contained in your shop drawings but they may be useful if you are willing to provide them
also just to be clear i am not thinking or going to attempt to fit f/a parts to a semi receiver or try to build an illegal weapon, quite the contrary what i want is a non restricted 18.5 inch barrel rifle and was considering closed bolt primarily for accuracy and to keep the dirt out.
so i need the diameter of the barrel so i can get one made to fit and examine the cost before i coomit to the project.
as far as i know i wont be breaking any firearms law by changing the category of the gun from restricted to non restricted but please tell me if im wrong in my interpretation.
thanks
