Who's Got A Remington 700P In 338 Lapua Magnum

I just got out finally to test fire mine today. Bought the rifle at Epps, Alberta Tac rifle bedded it, did the trigger, added a nightforce rail. Bought a Menace scope and nightforce rings off the board.
Fired about 40 rounds of Lapua 250 grain scenars at 200-400 yards to sight it in and get used to it, recoil wasn't bad at all, however people sitting next to me sure felt the muzzel blast
. Hoping to get out and shoot it at longer distances.

What did you think of the accuracy of rifle?
Handload or factory?
I'm getting excellent results with factory, but I figure by handloading and working up a load should get more accurate.

Nothing cheap about shooting the 338 Lapua!

I sawr asome factory ammo.
Forget whether it was $70 ish or $110 ish. Even reloading looks expensive.

Ammo can run fromm $100/20 (Hornady) to $135/20 (Lapua).
It's not chambered for .338LM it's chambered for $5 bills.

I have one..love it...
Found the factory brake workable..however changed it to a Near brake. Much like a Sako brake..works much better. Loud is loud,,but with the Near brake, even better reduction in recoil. Have fired it to 660m and it shoots just fine....Swamp donkeys are in trouble this year(coyotes too)

I have a 338 LM, but mine is a Sako, not the Remington. Yes, they are expensive to shoot, but no more then any other big bore. Once you get past the brass and die cost, it's just another 338. - dan
We have a couple customers that have done their own load workup on them and they're happy with the results for now. They're busy burning their barrels out so we can rechamber them for the Ackley Improved version with a new Rock Creek and of course, upgrade the brake to suit the gun.
