I have a preRem 1895 GS. Bought it off a user out here a couple of years ago. I thought stainless would be a pain, scaring off all kinds of game, but not at all. It's actually great to know it's more weather resistant when out in the rain. Anyways... I digress. I've harvested deer with factory loads 405 grain remingtons to hand loaded 425 grain Crater Lites, it works wonderfully and the range of what you can shoot is quite large. This is by far my favorite gun and just feels right.
