Who's seen, or better yet hunted, wild boar in Alberta? (Or the rest of Canada)

Last year there were wild boar in the Southwest portion of Saskatchewan near Eastend. I believe they have been mostly cleared out now. Mmmmmmm tasty. There are also wild boar near Moose Mountain Provincial Park that can be hunted with land owner permission. Also a relatively large number of boar have been sighted near Southey. I haven't heard of their status lately though.

I've heard there are many wild feral pigs along the river banks up in/near Edmonton - not sure if you're allowed to hunt them though. I've also been on private land hunting and it was a good time if a tad on the expensive side (up to 500 bucks per hunt). But they are indeed good eating (Try the hams double smoked:) )

I've seen them and I've hunted them up in the NW portion of the province. They are very destructive to the crops and getting permission onto the land isn't that hard.
