Sorry about the crappy pics, but this is an oddity.

Chinese contract Browning/Inglis Mk 1* HP. Appears to be nickel-plated, which I've never seen before. (almost looks spray-painted in the pics!) Sights are not what I'm used to seeing either. I originally thought that it was some post-war mods done by a smith. But after a detailed dismantling and investigation, at the very least the finish appears original to the gun; if not, it was incredibly well done. Odd.......

Nice pistol, is it coated all the way, under the grips? A nice Pachmyer grip would go nicely on it. Is it yours or are you just teasing us.

Nice shirt BTW, where to buy?

The front sight looks like it came off a MkII. The rear sight is a Millett.

It appears the hump that had the tangent reat sight has been milled off.

It looks like it was electroless nickle plated.

Ya, it's coated inside the frame and inside the slide (worn-off at wear-points as expected)
It had a set of Pachy's on it, I put the originals back on for the pic. :D
I bought an original wood holster/stock for it that I have to go pick-up.....but I doubt the pistol will fit in it with that rear sight.

Shirts? ...ahhh, a gift from Colt Canada.

I am by no means a "guru", but even I can tell you it's an afermarket nickel finish you've got there.

RePete is correct, the only thing I would add is that the front sight could also be a Millett front, but who knows. If the finish is wearing anywere, it is not Hard Chromed, hard chrome is a super hard finish that is pretty much indestructable. I like it, pretty cool looking

I enjoy modified BHP's. That's a nice looking gun :). Here's mine. The top end is Inglis, on a commercial FN frame, with a few extra bits (C&S safety, FEG slide stop, SIG front sight, black enamel finish). It's a great shooter, my do-not-sell gun. But, my co-workers refer to it as "old piece of junk" :slap:.
