Whose fired the most 7.62x39 in one sitting?

The other question is- how much more ammo would you use if you didn't have to reload every five rounds? After shooting a few hundred rounds five at a time, I get frustrated and pack it in. With a stack of 30 round mags I could see going through a crate no problem.

In theory you could hold open your hinged SKS mag and by applying upward pressure while shooting, fit ten rounds in..........in theory. :). Five rounds is pretty frustrating. My biggest one time shoot out is probably somewhere in the 400 round realm.

I recall a friend once mentioning that before the mag restrictions, he and some buddies got a few cheap Chinese SKS and several crates of ammo and just shot until the guns were cooked!
They were cheap enough that they threw them away, I recall him saying!

So lol...1100 rounds in around two hours… That's firing five rounds AND loading a magazine every 30 seconds for two hours straight ... ya okay:rolleyes:

I put a full crate through a Russian sks in under 3 hours .. Probably closer to 2 hrs (it was on strippers) . This was a bet that cost my buddy about 500 bucks ... Basically I told him I could mag dump an entire crate of ammo without a failure beyond an odd FTF or FTE .. If it worked I got to keep the rifle and he paid or the ammo. If it failed I had to buy a new gun and crate .. It didn't fail

This could be a fun game with detachable magazines. One shooter, one loader. The shooter's objective is to chop down a tree with a 1440 round crate of ammunition, the loader, who doesn't handle a gun, has to finish 24 beer before the shooter finishes his crate. That's only one beer per 60 rounds, but both competitors will heat up and slow down as it goes. No telling who'll win.

400-500 but typically, I go through 100-200 when I take her out as I also play with other guns. Would love to dump a crate but I got other firearm-related items in my budget that could use the $250.

I did about 800 yesterday. Shooting multiple targets quickly burns through the ammo, especially if I'm shooting alone. 300 is a more typical day though.

That's nothing. I shot 2 crates through an SKS in I hour, at -30 C, in a blizzard, and wearing no ear defenders or pants.
